Just used my voucher that British Airways made us take due to the complete mess up when we went to Canada last summer - remember? Got stuck there cause they had no spare planes and we had to wait 30 odd hours for a spare part!! We tried to fight for compensation but all they would do was give us a voucher for £150 that had to be used on a BA flight before end of June this year - so, using the voucher and air miles that we were also given we have got two flights to Jersey for my birthday costing us £27.00 in total. RESULT. Only thing is the Hotel is nearly £600 - blimey the Channel Islands are a pretty expensive place to lay your head for sure, but the Hotel does look very pretty with a lovely outdoor pool and in the middle of the countryside. I've always wanted to go to the Channel Islands but never ever got around to it - so it was Paris - No, Rome - not really, done Germany, Austria and Venice - so where to go. Ah, let's go to Jersey. Only for 4 nights but a nice little break.

I took my honeymoon on Jersey and then 4 years later took a second honeymoon on Jersey, it was a beautiful place then, don't know what's its like now :)

ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit the Channel Islands too. We might just pop over to Jersey for a day trip next time we go to Weymouth to have a look. It is on my TO DO list every year so I must do it soon. It is nice to hear that you have something to look forward to on your calender Chrissy. Marion x
