AND it's Monday again!!

This year has been a bit of a sickly year so far.  Dave and I got flu and had two weeks off work.  Then just as he went back to work he bought a salmon and mayonnaise sandwich from the 'sarny lady' that comes round and got food-poisoning!!  Off for another few days - Now this week - on Sunday one side of his face felt strange with shooting pains and in the evening the whole side of his face has swollen up and is bright red and blistery.  Went to the docs this morning and he has the chicken-pox virus in his face and in his eye which is worrying the doctor.  Another week off work and back to the doctors on Monday to check his eye.  

Now this was the year we were going to save really hard and Dave was hoping to retire by Christmas as he has got fed up traveling back and forth to London.  He has done this for best part of his life and it is getting to be such a pain.  He also only gets paid for what he does - no holiday or sickness pay.

Do you reckon that some 'forces' out there are trying to tell us something.  So much for saving!!  He looks a right mess and is pretty much in the doldrums bless him.

I know you shouldn't wish days away, but can't wait till May when we meet up with our girls and their hubbys in Las Vegas for a week - so need that holiday now.

Staying here for a week - yippee

Luckily this has already been paid for as the way things are going at the moment  might have had to rethink the whole idea!!
