Cartoons

Ah, tricky blog today.  Couple of weekends ago I did three commissioned cards for a lady and two were of cartoon characters -

Sticking with my blog theme of using my cards as the kick-off to blog about different things - today is about cartoons.  (Not sure if I will be able to keep this up - certainly testing the old 'rusty mind'.)
Right, I don't actually like cartoons as such.  I love the original ones - like Snow White, Cinderella, 101 Dalmations etc and they still, for me, stand the test of time.
BUT, the newer ones by pixar and other such companies just don't do it for me I am afraid - Buzz Lightyear, Bugs and all the others are just not right.  But today's children are brought up on them so yeah, they will think they are wonderful.  Is this an age thing you think?

  1. Every generation has its own 'type' of cartoon I think Chrissy. Like you, I grew up watching the Disney films (in the cinema), & loved re-watching them with my boys when they came along on video....
Now, with all this 3D DVD's etc, the children of today must find the older cartoons very slow.
So, yes - it is an age thing...!!
Come back Tom & Jerry - all is forgiven.....
    xx
